Dr. Mosquera was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She was interested in applying mathematics and physics to the medical field by pursuing a career in biomedical engineering, helping medicine through advances in technology.

It was during her specialty rotations where she discovered that she was interested in Obstetrics and Gynecology due to the versatility of the field and the joy and satisfaction felt by treating women. This is when Dr. Mosquera decided to move to mainland USA and complete her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, right here in Houston, Texas.

During her specialty training, she worked on multiple research projects and focused her efforts on teaching, receiving an award as Resident Educator. Dr. Mosquera also enjoyed developing her skills as a minimally invasive surgeon and is certified in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery.

Dr. Mosquera fell in love with Texas and decided to set roots in the Richmond/Sugar Land area where she moved with her husband. She is eager to continue caring for women in this area, providing up to date care, and focusing on empowering women through medical knowledge. She is also looking forward to continuing to work with the extensive cultural diversity in the area.

While she is off from work, you can usually find Dr. Mosquera in the kitchen cooking for her family, friends, and colleagues. She also enjoys traveling around the world, working out, and playing with her two Miniature Schnauzers, Frodo, and Bilbo Baggins.
